"I have been going to Sonterra Dermatology for years and I would not go anywhere else. I love this place. All Staff and doctors are awesome. Dr Metzinger has always taken care of me. I would highly recommend Sonterra Dermatology. I am still a patient at Sonterra Dermatology and now they help me with creams and serums for my face to keep it looking youthful and at its best and my medical ( psoriasis) has been under control at its best. "I want to thank everyone at Sonterra Dermatology who has helped me get my Taltz injections. It has been a struggle with insurance denying the medication because they don't cover Taltz. Also, getting the run around from multiple pharmacies about who would fill the prescription was a pain. I have been without my medicine for months and started having psoriasis flare-ups. The dedicated staff at Sonterra Dermatology worked on an appeal for me with the insurance company. I am so grateful my medication finally got approved. I have tried multiple biologics, and Taltz was the only medication that would clear up my stubborn patches. Thank you, Sonterra Dermatology, for everything you did to help me. "Dr. Garcia and her staff at Sonterra Dermatology have been helping me for many years and, frankly, they are the BEST. I have had numerous dermatologists over the last almost 50 years, and they all have been good, but these guys are the best. When dealing with biologics, you need someone in your corner to help navigate the process with the specialty pharmacy and your insurance carrier. In some instances, Dr. Garcia’s team has had to personally deal with these entities many times. They always diligently managed the process and have always got the job done. When I go in to their office, they know me. I am never waiting for more than a few minutes, and I am always greeted with a smile. Dr. Garcia is extremely knowledgeable and I appreciate her advice and recommendations. Most importantly, Dr. Garcia is very compassionate. She understands how challenging it is for patients to deal with, in my instance, a lifetime of psoriasis. They are all great and have my highest recommendation."

I initially received a referral from my PCP to another dermatology clinic but, after reading some of the reviews and asking around, I made the decision to cancel that referral and find another clinic in my network. I chose this one based on the good reviews here and elsewhere. I was seen by Daniella Arellano PA-C for hair loss/thinning. She listened to everything I had to say and presented various options we could take. No pressure to dive balding-head first into some expensive procedure, but I am happy that I was presented with a few paths to pursue without ruling out any of them for future consideration. I even had some medical questions a week after my appointment so I called and left a message, and I received a call back the same day with answers.This was my first time at this office. It was very clean and everyone I encountered from check-in to check-out was very nice. Located on Sonterra ACROSS from the Methodist hospital - navigation kept wanting me to go TO the hospital!I have only given it 4 stars because I don’t know yet if the visit will fix my issue and I did not want to mislead anyone by giving the impression they can fix EVERYTHING immediately. Maybe they can... and then it will be a 5!"

I remember excusing myself to the bathroom, taking my shirt off and trying to dry my sweat marks from my shirt. It had become so bad, that anytime I would wear a button down...my pits would produce more moisture than the geysers at Yellowstone. Most recently, I had a board meeting on a webinar and everyone could see the wet marks even with keeping my arms down....so embarrassing.I tell you all of that to say, if you can relate at all....DO IT! The first day after was painful with swelling, until I cryo’d at TotalRegenCryo. I went axe throwing that evening with a long sleeve dress shirt on. It was the first time I’ve EVER wore a dress shirt that my underarms remained dry. Trust me, Miradry has changed my life and everyone at Sonterra was amazing."

I know due to COVID there were some issues with scheduling and getting through on the phone, but I booked online without issue. She’s incredibly caring about her patients and very professional providing immediate feedback and results when the labs come in. "I go to Dr. Garcia annually with my two children for skin cancer checks. She and her nurse are very thorough and keep detailed records and photos of all questionable moles. When the need for biopsy arises (in my case), she is super efficient at delivering the shot and taking the sample, and it is way less painful than any kind of vaccination or flu shot you could get. With this last visit, they took the biopsy on Monday and already called me on Wednesday morning with the results. I can't say enough good things about her and her entire staff! I just recommended her to a friend yesterday, and the friend pulled out a post it note from her purse with a name written down from somebody else and it happened to be Dr. Garcia's name on the post it note! She is accurate and successfully diagnoses me every time. When I moved to SA I had a rash on my shoulder for 3 years. Two other dermatologists diagnosed and treated with poor or no results. The first night I used the RX Dr. Garcia prescribed the rash cleared! Three years and she cleared it in one night. I have spent thousands on skin care products. I was using Dr. Perricone and she suggested switching to Cerave. I was spending $110. for .5 oz. of eye cream. Dr. Garcia didn't criticize and in fact, told me she would help me to be able to feel better about my brown spots and complexion. She recommended a series of 5 BBLs. After only two of them, I saw an amazing improvement in my face. Since I have RA & Lupus, Dr. Garcia was very cautious about any reaction I might have to the treatments and sure enough, I did have some adverse reactions. She offered to refund the money I had already paid for the remaining three sessions. She also was the first doctor to help me really get the rash I get from Lupus under control. They did some simple test and FINALLY was able to find that staff was all over her skin and what was making the eczema so bad. They gave me simple solutions such as bath water with some bleach and some creams that have almost brought her skin problems to zero. I can't say enough about this place. They listen and care.
