Literally the best dermatologist I have ever been to was Justin Bandino. He was the first and only dermatologist to ever suggest I go to an endocrinologist to figure out why I'm basically growing a beard and having so many skin tags (along w other things). He prescribed me an amazing cream to help with my acne. He was thorough and caring and very helpful. The services are a little pricey but definitely worth it for the quality of care received. More

I want to thank everyone at Sonterra Dermatology who has helped me get my Taltz injections. It has been a struggle with insurance denying the medication because they don't cover Taltz. Also, getting the run around from multiple pharmacies about who would fill the prescription was a pain. I have been without my medicine for months and started having psoriasis flare-ups. The dedicated staff at Sonterra Dermatology worked on an appeal for me with the insurance company. I am so grateful my medication finally got approved. I have tried multiple biologics, and Taltz was the only medication that would clear up my stubborn patches. Thank you, Sonterra Dermatology, for everything you did to help me. I got my medicine, and I hope to have clear skin again. More

Went here to get a Miradry treatment and could not be happier with how everything went. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. One spot on my face was tested and was determined to be a basil cell carcinoma that needed to be removed. Dr. Ninert was the surgeon. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Ninert, his staff, and especially the results from the Mohs procedure on my nose. I would highly recommend Dr. Ninert and Sonterra Dermatology. More

Dr. Garcia and her staff at Sonterra Dermatology have been helping me for many years and, frankly, they are the BEST. I have had numerous dermatologists over the last almost 50 years, and they all have been good, but these guys are the best. When dealing with biologics, you need someone in your corner to help navigate the process with the specialty pharmacy and your insurance carrier. In some instances, Dr. Garcia’s team has had to personally deal with these entities many times. They always diligently managed the process and have always got the job done. When I go in to their office, they know me. I am never waiting for more than a few minutes, and I am always greeted with a smile. Dr. Garcia is extremely knowledgeable and I appreciate her advice and recommendations. Most importantly, Dr. Garcia is very compassionate. She understands how challenging it is for patients to deal with, in my instance, a lifetime of psoriasis. They are all great and have my highest recommendation. More

Great first impression! I initially received a referral from my PCP to another dermatology clinic but, after reading some of the reviews and asking around, I made the decision to cancel that referral and find another clinic in my network. I chose this one based on the good reviews here and elsewhere. I was seen by Daniella Arellano PA-C for hair loss/thinning. She listened to everything I had to say and presented various options we could take. No pressure to dive balding-head first into some expensive procedure, but I am happy that I was presented with a few paths to pursue without ruling out any of them for future consideration. I even had some medical questions a week after my appointment so I called and left a message, and I received a call back the same day with answers.This was my first time at this office. It was very clean and everyone I encountered from check-in to check-out was very nice. Located on Sonterra ACROSS from the Methodist hospital - navigation kept wanting me to go TO the hospital!I have only given it 4 stars because I don’t know yet if the visit will fix my issue and I did not want to mislead anyone by giving the impression they can fix EVERYTHING immediately. The staff is professional and courteous. Waiting time is minimal. Best of all, the results are life changing. My grandson had the beginning of a serious case of acne vulgaris, which runs in my family. I battled it into my mid-twenties with multiple treatment regimes, then my sons had similar experiences. When my grandson developed an early case, we tried someone local with limited success. Then we found Sonterra. His skin is great in less than a year! They are the best! More

Sonterra Dermatology is AMAZING!! I have been to several dermatologists in San Antonio and this one is by far the best. Each time I have been in the office the staff have been friendly, professional, and wait times were extremely minimal. I have been working with Daniella Arellano, PA and she is just terrific. She is extremely knowledgeable, explains everything, provides compassionate care and never makes you feel rushed. We finally settled on dupixent and it has changed my life! Recently I have been having a hard time with my new insurance, and Dr. Garcia’s nurse Cindy has worked with me- calling my insurance (which is never fun for anyone), getting me other medication in the mean time, and overall supporting me in fixing my skin. I am so thankful for Dr. Garcia and her entire staff. They were all incredible and I highly recommend this pratice. The technicians and front oftice were very knowledgeable and organized. Dr Garcia was very thorough and patient and answered all my questions. She recommended amazing skin care products b...ut was not high pressure about it at all. Just emphasized the importance of it and let me make the decisions. I was very apprehensive about making this appointment and going because I have always loved being outside and in the sun but Dr. Garcia did not preach nor scorn me about it just offered some great advice to protect my skin and to keep it from showing the signs of aging. I highly recommend this office and will continue to keep my annual visits for years to come!!!! More

I go to Dr. Garcia annually with my two children for skin cancer checks. She and her nurse are very thorough and keep detailed records and photos of all questionable moles. When the need for biopsy arises (in my case), she is super efficient at delivering the shot and taking the sample, and it is way less painful than any kind of vaccination or flu shot you could get. With this last visit, they took the biopsy on Monday and already called me on Wednesday morning with the results. I can't say enough good things about her and her entire staff! I just recommended her to a friend yesterday, and the friend pulled out a post it note from her purse with a name written down from somebody else and it happened to be Dr. Garcia's name on the post it note! Dr. Garcia is the best derm I've had and I've gone to dermatologists since I was a teen. I'm 54 years old so it's been 4 decades going dermatologists with problem skin. She is accurate and successfully diagnoses me every time. When I moved to SA I had a rash on my shoulder for 3 years. Two other dermatologists diagnosed and treated with poor or no results. The first night I used the RX Dr. Garcia prescribed the rash cleared! Three years and she cleared it in one night. I have spent thousands on skin care products. I was using Dr. Perricone and she suggested switching to Cerave. I was spending $110. for .5 oz. of eye cream. I've actually had visible results on my face and body on an inexpensive but highly effective products I can pick up at a grocery store! If you want results and a kind, compassionate physician then she's your physician for dermatology. More

I was so pleased with my results! I noticed within a day or so that I was no longer sweating or having any odor. Not only was the procedure pretty much painless but the experience from the staff was amazing as well. I was only in the office for about an hour and a half and went right back to work after my procedure. I love that because I didn't have to take off from work. And I had very minimal soreness after the procedure, kind of like being sore from a good workout at the gym. Overall I have to give 5 stars. I couldn't have asked for better results. My most recent appointment was for the removal of numerous very small growths on my neck area (seborrheic keratosis). I was very satisfied with the procedure altogether; will wait for the final results however those should be great since Dr. Garcia precisely targeted the growths so I don't expect any surprise or negative results - especially since she has already tested an area to sample for any unexpected reaction.
