"I could not get an appointment with the dermatology office I have been a patient of for at least 5 years until 2 weeks. This was concerning a rash a developed from mosquito bites that my primary care wanted me to have looked at by a dermatologist asap. Even a PA or Nurse Practitioner was not available until the first week of September. I even called my primary care for a referral (which I don’t need with my insurance plan) , but unfortunately, they refer to this same practice, so I was on my own. I pass this office all the time, so decided to try them first. They got me in the very next morning with one of their doctors (who gets in to a see an actual MD that quickly these days, let alone a specialist?). He was knowledgeable and put me at ease immediately. I scheduled my annual skin cancer check with him for next week. I’m going to pick up my medical records from the previous dermatology office and I’m done with them. Just thankful I found an office that still gives great service and very professional!"
"I recently retired and went on Medicare. If you haven't gone through the process, it can be a nightmare. With my commercial insurance available through my employer gone, I learned that my copay for my medication was going to be $4159 every two month's. When I heard this I thought I would have a heart attack. This where I have to mention Veronica Hernandez a Patient Care Coordinator that works on weaving through the maze of insurance and coverages for the kinds of medications I am on. Veronica was extremely calm and reassuring as we worked through the process of researching how I could get assistance with these astronomical out of pocket costs. After several weeks of major anxiety on my part, Veronica was able to help secure the help I desparately needed and I will be able to continue my medication. For anyone that knows anything about psoriasis, it is a psychologically devastating condition. The fact that I will be able to continue taking my medication without interruption to my treatment is a real blessing. And I have Veronica to thank for her efforts, knowledge, patience and caring. Thank you Veronica!!"

"I’ve been coming here since 2019 when I was diagnosed with skin cancer. I have seen Dr. Anabelle Garcia; PA Daniella Arellano; PA Erika Kelso and most recently Dr Jorge Hinojosa. The PAs are no longer there but regardless they were great. Every single person since I check in until I check out have always treated me well and made me feel cared for. All my skin screenings for cancer and psoriasis have been through and through! I love this practice so much that I recommend them to friends and family. My husband visited with Erika Kelso and he was very satisfied with the consultation. "I'm the kinda of person who will not go to the doctor's unless I absolutely have to because I'm a relatively healthy person and don't have health insurance. I had an abscess on my tail bone/upper buttocks area that was causing me imense pain and discomfort. On the third day I couldnt bare it anymore and called about 15 doctor's offices and they either had different requirements or prerequisites for an appointment that would meet my healthcare needs like referrals, biopsies, or didn't perform the care I was requesting. Then I called Sonterra Dermatology - Stone Oak and I'm telling you I should have saved myself the time and just called them first because not only we're they willing to meet my health care needs they were also able to get me a next day appointment at their earliest time, which when your in pain makes a world of difference. Dr. James Neiner took excellent care of me and was the right amount of cautious about cutting into me. He actually talked to me and took my choices into great consideration when discussing my care options. We decided on a steroid shot and antibiotics regime incase my abscess was a cyst. The steroid shot practically popped the abscess which resulted in Dr. Neiner and I deciding that a continued popping and draining of the abscess would be the best course of action. After about 10mins of draining literal fluid ounces from my body I instantly felt better than I had in 4 days. Actual night and day difference. Dr. Neiner still prescribed me the antibiotic regime for obvious reasons and sent me on my merry way to schedule a followup. About $500 out of pocket for the whole experience and it was money well spent. Can't thank these guys and Dr. Neiner enough for the amount of pain they relieved me of. I can play with my daughter again and its all thanks to them."

"Dr. Garcia and her staff at Sonterra Dermatology have been helping me for many years and, frankly, they are the BEST. I have had numerous dermatologists over the last almost 50 years, and they all have been good, but these guys are the best. When dealing with biologics, you need someone in your corner to help navigate the process with the specialty pharmacy and your insurance carrier. In some instances, Dr. Garcia’s team has had to personally deal with these entities many times. They always diligently managed the process and have always got the job done. I got my name DOB and two questions answered and I was called back before I could finish. The MA took my history and meds. Had me change, she walked out and immediately the PA came in saw me. "I go to Dr. Garcia annually with my two children for skin cancer checks. She and her nurse are very thorough and keep detailed records and photos of all questionable moles. When the need for biopsy arises (in my case), she is super efficient at delivering the shot and taking the sample, and it is way less painful than any kind of vaccination or flu shot you could get. With this last visit, they took the biopsy on Monday and already called me on Wednesday morning with the results. I can't say enough good things about her and her entire staff! I just recommended her to a friend yesterday, and the friend pulled out a post it note from her purse with a name written down from somebody else and it happened to be Dr. Garcia's name on the post it note! Needless to say, she's recommended by many--and for good reason. Not that it would have much bearing on my review, but I must say, their new office is super pretty;)!!!"

I was so pleased with my results! I noticed within a day or so that I was no longer sweating or having any odor. Not only was the procedure pretty much painless but the experience from the staff was amazing as well. I was only in the office for about an hour and a half and went right back to work after my procedure. I love that because I didn't have to take off from work. And I had very minimal soreness after the procedure, kind of like being sore from a good workout at the gym. Overall I have to give 5 stars. I couldn't have asked for better results. "Dr. Garcia is the best derm I've had and I've gone to dermatologists since I was a teen. I'm 54 years old so it's been 4 decades going dermatologists with problem skin. She is accurate and successfully diagnoses me every time. When I moved to SA I had a rash on my shoulder for 3 years. Two other dermatologists diagnosed and treated with poor or no results. The first night I used the RX Dr. Garcia prescribed the rash cleared! Three years and she cleared it in one night. I have spent thousands on skin care products. I was using Dr. Perricone and she suggested switching to Cerave. I was spending $110. for .5 oz. of eye cream. I've actually had visible results on my face and body on an inexpensive but highly effective products I can pick up at a grocery store! If you want results and a kind, compassionate physician then she's your physician for dermatology."

"Dr. Annabelle Garcia is incredibly considerate and attentive. She always listens to my concerns and provides the best solutions for my skin. I've visited her for allergy spots on my skin, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. I never feel like she is experimenting or unsure how to help. She listens to everything I say, examines me and uses her experience to assess my needs. I also visit her for botox and she's SO AWESOME! Dr. Garcia even helped one of my eyebrows that was slightly lower than the other. I've always been so self-conscious about my crooked eyebrows, but my face looks even steven now and I am much more confident. Best thing is, I never even brought that up, she noticed and corrected it during my botox appointment. The office staff is also incredibly welcoming and wonderful. It doesn't hurt to spend money on looking amazing when you're treated like a queen! I highly recommend Dr. Annabelle Garcia. Her integrity and results are second to none."

"Recently came here and did a procedure called Mira Dry. It eliminates the sweat glands from your underarms so you no longer have any embarrassing sweat stains or odor. I was so pleased with my results! I noticed within a day or so that I was no longer sweating or having any odor. Not only was the procedure pretty much painless but the experience from the staff was amazing as well. I was only in the office for about an hour and a half and went right back to work after my procedure. I love that because I didn't have to take off from work. And I had very minimal soreness after the procedure, kind of like being sore from a good workout at the gym. Overall I have to give 5 stars. I couldn't have asked for better results.
