Overall, I had an amazing experience here. From going in and getting the initial biopsy done on my nose (came back as skin cancer) with Dr. Malan to coming in for a Mohs procedure performed by Dr. Neiner, everything was on point. Friendly staff, clean facility, excellent service. Unlike other facilities that have you sitting in the lobby 15-30 minutes past your appointment start time, Sonterra Dermatology usually calls you back about 5 minutes before the start time to get you taken care of. I'm the kinda of person who will not go to the doctor's unless I absolutely have to because I'm a relatively healthy person and don't have health insurance. I had an abscess on my tail bone/upper buttocks area that was causing me imense pain and discomfort. On the third day I couldnt bare it anymore and called about 15 doctor's offices and they either had different requirements or prerequisites for an appointment that would meet my healthcare needs like referrals, biopsies, or didn't perform the care I was requesting. Then I called Sonterra Dermatology - Stone Oak and I'm telling you I should have saved myself the time and just called them first because not only we're they willing to meet my health care needs they were also able to get me a next day appointment at their earliest time, which when your in pain makes a world of difference. Dr. James Neiner took excellent care of me and was the right amount of cautious about cutting into me. He actually talked to me and took my choices into great consideration when discussing my care options. We decided on a steroid shot and antibiotics regime incase my abscess was a cyst. The steroid shot practically popped the abscess which resulted in Dr. Neiner and I deciding that a continued popping and draining of the abscess would be the best course of action. After about 10mins of draining literal fluid ounces from my body I instantly felt better than I had in 4 days. Actual night and day difference. Dr. Neiner still prescribed me the antibiotic regime for obvious reasons and sent me on my merry way to schedule a followup. About $500 out of pocket for the whole experience and it was money well spent. Can't thank these guys and Dr. Neiner enough for the amount of pain they relieved me of. I can play with my daughter again and its all thanks to them. More

I just completed my 4th emsculpt session with Carlos! (He has been incredible!!!) 🐐 I was interested in the emaculpt treatment for the muscle growth and strength results, more than anything for my quads and hamstrings I’ve been working my way back from the heaviest I’ve ever been and I’ve made progress through intermittent fasting and doing body weight strength training and have been hesitant to really test my legs out fearing that in their inactive state wouldn’t be able to handle much more than the added 40 lbs I was carrying same thing for my joints (knees, Achilles tendon especially) I shopped around at a few places nobody instilled confidence in targeting the muscles I wanted done. My Girlfriend had done her abdomen and glutes recently with Sontera Dermatology and I was impressed with her muscle growth, so I decided to schedule a consult. I initially received a referral from my PCP to another dermatology clinic but, after reading some of the reviews and asking around, I made the decision to cancel that referral and find another clinic in my network. I chose this one based on the good reviews here and elsewhere. I was seen by Daniella Arellano PA-C for hair loss/thinning. She listened to everything I had to say and presented various options we could take. No pressure to dive balding-head first into some expensive procedure, but I am happy that I was presented with a few paths to pursue without ruling out any of them for future consideration. Fast friendly and convenient. I arrived 15 min early. When I say fast I checked the staff was friendly. I sat down to start filling out the NP paper work. I got my name DOB and two questions answered and I was called back before I could finish. The MA took my history and meds. Had me change, she walked out and immediately the PA came in saw me. She was super kind! From start to finish it was smooth, fast yet efficient. She made sure she addressed any and all concerns. Specifically asking if I had any. The checkout was smooth. First of all, procedures for Covid-19 were being followed and I felt very safe! All staff wore masks, practiced social distancing, had hand sanitizer readily available for all. Took my temperature upon my arrival. Didn't even wait five minutes and was called in. Once in examining room, probably another five minutes to see Kiersten Charles,PA. SHE IS AWESOME! She is very caring, thoughtful and listens to your needs. Ms. Charles is very courteous, respectful and provides great customer service, just as all of the staff at Sonterra Dermatology do. This is a great place to be helped with any skin condition, I got some weird bacteria in my nose while plumbing and it caused me pain for over a year.... luckily i got health insurance and finally made it here and I’m sooo happy to say they cured my condition and I’m no longer in pain and I’m extremely happy!!!!!
